CTM-AIR / Compact control cables
Aircraft Control Cable Tensiometers
Review compact tensiometers for small stationary aircraft control cables and other fine steel cable assemblies.
START WITH YOUR ROPE
Cable diameter × tension capacity
Planning envelopes across each family. A single model does not cover every diameter and load combination. Confirm the exact rope profile, range and calibrated accuracy in your quotation.
| Model family | Supported cable diameter | Tension capacity envelope | Accuracy | Operation mode |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| CTM-AIR | 1.5–8 mm / 0.059–0.315 in | 0.05–5 kN / 11–1,124 lbf / 5.1–510 kgf | Target ±1.5–2% FS; subject to rope-specific validation | Compact handheld |
MEASUREMENT WORKFLOW
Compact handheld: define the installation first
Use the approved aircraft procedure, select the matched cable profile, account for the specified temperature condition and document the measured result.
Instrument selection does not confer aircraft approval. The applicable maintenance manual, approved tooling policy and calibrated range govern use.
What the CTM-AIR review covers
- Compact access envelope and matched cable contact parts
- Cable size, construction and temperature records
- Configuration-specific calibration documentation
Send these details
- Cable part number and aircraft maintenance procedure
- Required tension at the specified temperature
- Access envelope and calibration traceability needs
Aircraft MRO engineers, control cable technicians and precision cable assembly teams.
BUILD THE RIGHT PACKAGE
Calibration, protection & signal options
Select the accessories in the RFQ below. Budget add-ons are indicative values, subject to compatibility and the final quotation.
REPEATED RENTAL OR OWNERSHIP?
Compare your project’s instrument cost.
Enter your equipment and rental quotations. Starting values are illustrative assumptions; calibration, deposits, tax and transport can change the result.
Before specifying CTM-AIR
Will one calibration cover all rope sizes?
No. Different diameters and constructions require appropriate profiles and contact geometry. Provide the complete cable list and request a calibration scope for each combination.
How do we confirm the quoted accuracy?
Agree the range, error definition, reference instrument, rope condition, load points and acceptance limits. A planning target is not a calibration certificate.
Can you review a replacement instrument?
Send the current model, rope profiles, loads, accessories and required data outputs. CTM is independent of the brands mentioned on this site.
GET THE CONFIGURATION RIGHT
Send the rope size. Define the load.
We will review cable construction, measurement range, access and output requirements with your RFQ.
