CTM-QC / Tower & guy wire
Handheld Quick-Clamp Cable Tension Meters
Check stationary, tensioned guy wires without removing a cable end. Specify rope construction and the actual working load before selecting a quick-clamp meter.
START WITH YOUR ROPE
Cable diameter × tension capacity
Planning envelopes across each family. A single model does not cover every diameter and load combination. Confirm the exact rope profile, range and calibrated accuracy in your quotation.
| Model family | Supported cable diameter | Tension capacity envelope | Accuracy | Operation mode |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| CTM-QC | 3–28 mm / 0.118–1.102 in | 10–100 kN / 2,248–22,481 lbf / 1,020–10,197 kgf | Target ±1.5–2% FS; subject to rope-specific validation | Handheld lever |
MEASUREMENT WORKFLOW
Handheld lever: define the installation first
Select the verified rope profile, fit all contact points to a stationary cable, engage the lever as instructed, then record stabilized readings. Follow the instrument manual for repeat positions and clearance.
A diameter match alone does not establish calibration. Strand construction, coating and stiffness can change the indication.
What the CTM-QC review covers
- Quick-engage lever and readable local display
- Optional Bluetooth reporting; confirm app and export format
- Matched grooves and rope-specific calibration profiles
Send these details
- Guy wire diameter, lay and material
- Working tension and target tolerance
- Clear straight span and safe access
Tower installation and inspection crews, wind guy-wire contractors and marine rigging teams.
BUILD THE RIGHT PACKAGE
Calibration, protection & signal options
Select the accessories in the RFQ below. Budget add-ons are indicative values, subject to compatibility and the final quotation.

Compare your project’s instrument cost.
Enter your equipment and rental quotations. Starting values are illustrative assumptions; calibration, deposits, tax and transport can change the result.
Before specifying CTM-QC
Will one calibration cover all rope sizes?
No. Different diameters and constructions require appropriate profiles and contact geometry. Provide the complete cable list and request a calibration scope for each combination.
How do we confirm the quoted accuracy?
Agree the range, error definition, reference instrument, rope condition, load points and acceptance limits. A planning target is not a calibration certificate.
Can you review a replacement instrument?
Send the current model, rope profiles, loads, accessories and required data outputs. CTM is independent of the brands mentioned on this site.
GET THE CONFIGURATION RIGHT
Send the rope size. Define the load.
We will review cable construction, measurement range, access and output requirements with your RFQ.
