CTM-RLT / Moving rope measurement
Running Line Tensiometers & Cable Pulling Meters
Specify a three-sheave running line tensiometer for moving steel cable, winch payout and cable pulling projects.
START WITH YOUR ROPE
Cable diameter × tension capacity
Planning envelopes across each family. A single model does not cover every diameter and load combination. Confirm the exact rope profile, range and calibrated accuracy in your quotation.
| Model family | Supported cable diameter | Tension capacity envelope | Accuracy | Operation mode |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| CTM-RLT | 4–38 mm / 0.157–1.496 in | 10–300 kN / 2,248–67,443 lbf / 1,020–30,591 kgf | Target ±1.5–2% FS; subject to rope-specific validation | Running line / three sheaves |
MEASUREMENT WORKFLOW
Running line / three sheaves: define the installation first
Size the sheaves for the cable construction, align entry and exit paths, then validate reference tension, speed and length channels over the agreed operating range.
Maximum line speed is configuration-dependent. The requested 1,000 m/min envelope requires explicit sheave, bearing, encoder and dynamic validation.
What the CTM-RLT review covers
- Tension with optional speed and paid-out length
- Sheave geometry chosen around the rope bend limit
- Encoder, sampling and remote display scope
Send these details
- Line speed, acceleration and duty cycle
- Minimum bend radius and allowed deflection
- Peak tension, data rate and installation drawing
Power-line pulling contractors, offshore winch operators and wireline equipment builders.
BUILD THE RIGHT PACKAGE
Calibration, protection & signal options
Select the accessories in the RFQ below. Budget add-ons are indicative values, subject to compatibility and the final quotation.
REPEATED RENTAL OR OWNERSHIP?
Compare your project’s instrument cost.
Enter your equipment and rental quotations. Starting values are illustrative assumptions; calibration, deposits, tax and transport can change the result.
Before specifying CTM-RLT
Will one calibration cover all rope sizes?
No. Different diameters and constructions require appropriate profiles and contact geometry. Provide the complete cable list and request a calibration scope for each combination.
How do we confirm the quoted accuracy?
Agree the range, error definition, reference instrument, rope condition, load points and acceptance limits. A planning target is not a calibration certificate.
Can you review a replacement instrument?
Send the current model, rope profiles, loads, accessories and required data outputs. CTM is independent of the brands mentioned on this site.
GET THE CONFIGURATION RIGHT
Send the rope size. Define the load.
We will review cable construction, measurement range, access and output requirements with your RFQ.
