CTM-FIX / Continuous PLC monitoring
Permanent Clamp-On Wire Rope Tension Sensors
Plan continuous monitoring on a stationary rope section with a bolted clamp-on sensor and a defined PLC interface.
START WITH YOUR ROPE
Cable diameter × tension capacity
Planning envelopes across each family. A single model does not cover every diameter and load combination. Confirm the exact rope profile, range and calibrated accuracy in your quotation.
| Model family | Supported cable diameter | Tension capacity envelope | Accuracy | Operation mode |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| CTM-FIX | 6–52 mm / 0.236–2.047 in | 5–500 kN / 1,124–112,404 lbf / 510–50,986 kgf | Target ±1.5–2% FS; subject to rope-specific validation | Permanent bolt-on |
MEASUREMENT WORKFLOW
Permanent bolt-on: define the installation first
Agree the mounting geometry and signal range, establish a reference load with the installed rope, and verify scaling and alarms with the machine integrator.
A measurement channel is not an independently approved overload protection system. Define mechanical limits, fault behavior and system validation.
What the CTM-FIX review covers
- 4–20 mA, 0–10 V or RS485 interface selection
- IP67 / IP68 enclosure options subject to configuration
- Optional high/low alarm relay box
Send these details
- Dead-end rope location and mounting clearance
- PLC supply, signal scaling and cable length
- Static load range, alarm setpoints and environment
Crane and hoist integrators, mine maintenance teams and structural cable monitoring engineers.
BUILD THE RIGHT PACKAGE
Calibration, protection & signal options
Select the accessories in the RFQ below. Budget add-ons are indicative values, subject to compatibility and the final quotation.
REPEATED RENTAL OR OWNERSHIP?
Compare your project’s instrument cost.
Enter your equipment and rental quotations. Starting values are illustrative assumptions; calibration, deposits, tax and transport can change the result.
Before specifying CTM-FIX
Will one calibration cover all rope sizes?
No. Different diameters and constructions require appropriate profiles and contact geometry. Provide the complete cable list and request a calibration scope for each combination.
How do we confirm the quoted accuracy?
Agree the range, error definition, reference instrument, rope condition, load points and acceptance limits. A planning target is not a calibration certificate.
Can you review a replacement instrument?
Send the current model, rope profiles, loads, accessories and required data outputs. CTM is independent of the brands mentioned on this site.
GET THE CONFIGURATION RIGHT
Send the rope size. Define the load.
We will review cable construction, measurement range, access and output requirements with your RFQ.
